Unipac Shipping Imports 1903 Oldsmobile for London-Brighton Classic Car Race.

We were absolutely thrilled when Classic car Enthusiast Michael Seidemann chose Unipac Shipping as his preferred freight forwarder to sea import his beloved 1903 Oldsmobile from USA to Southampton Port.  Mr Seidemann came across Unipac several months ago after he purchased a 1933 MG J2 from a dealer in Surrey. “I looked into several shipping container companies for shipping to the U.S.  The dealer had recommended Unipac, as he had used Unipac previously” said Mr Seidemann.  “After researching the various alternatives, I decided to take advantage of Unipac Shipping’s services.  I was very satisfied with the shipping of the MG to me.  The customer service personnel and customs specialist were very helpful. Therefore, when it came time to ship the 1903 Oldsmobile to England, I looked for and thus far have received the same level of care and satisfaction” he concluded.

The 1903 Oldsmobile was delivered to the warehouse in New Orleans USA where it was professionally lashed and loaded into a 20’ container.  It sailed on vessel CMA CGM Matisse departing from Savannah Port USA on 3 July 2013. The shipment arrived into Southampton Port on 27 July 2013 and was safely handed over to Mr Seidermanns mechanic after customs clearance formalities.

The annual London Brighton Veteran Car Run takes place this year on 3 November 2013 from Hyde Park London to Madeira Drive Brighton with over 500 pre-1904 classic vehicles expected to take part demonstrating their early engineering ability. We wish Michael the very best of luck!
